The Opening of The Point
The new £12 million conference and events venue, The Point, was officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony on the famous Old Trafford pitch. Holding a pair of scissors, in place of his customary cricket bat, was Lancashire County Cricket Club’s very own Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff who was joined by Robert Hough, Chairman of the Northwest Regional Development Agency. read more
The Official Handover from Morgan Sindall
Lancashire County Cricket Club today accepted the keys to their striking new £15 million conference and events venue, The Point. They were presented by construction company Morgan Sindall during an official handover ceremony conducted on the famous Old Trafford pitch. read more

When Peter Ash, sales manager at The Point, took the first group on a ‘hard hat’ tour of the new conference and events venue at Old Trafford Cricket Ground, he couldn’t have envisaged that he would join the elite at Lancashire County Cricket Club by notching up a century – albeit in a hard hat and hi-visibility bib and not with a bat on the pitch! read more
