THE CUTTING EDGE OF EVENT HOSPITALITY

Hugh Robertson MP Shadow Minister for Sport & Olympics, took time out from his hectic conference schedule in Manchester to visit our famous Old Trafford cricket ground.

Hugh was invited by the Club to update him on the investment and development at the ground and for him to take a tour of ‘The Point’, the new £12 million conference and events facility due for completion in June 2010.

Before taking a tour of the construction site Hugh, a keen cricketer and a playing member of the MCC, took the opportunity to get a few tips from LCCC coach Peter Moores on his batting stance.

Commenting on his visit Hugh said:

“ I am a firm believer that great sporting events should be seen up and down the country. The new development is extremely impressive and will no doubt secure Old Trafford’s position as a world class cricket arena. ”

Due for completion June 2010, The Point will be one of the largest conference and event facilities in the UK and is expected to have a positive impact on the region.
